Program description

Paid hands-on work experience in one of 4 industries, Hospitality & Tourism, Sales & Retail, Office & IT, Construction & Labour. All work experience positions are offered prior to arrival in Canada and are dependent on experience, education, language ability, start date, duration of employment, motivation and attitude. Program Includes:
• Phone Interview(s) prior to arriving in Canada.(if necessary)
• Job contract prior to arriving in Canada
• Social Insurance Number (Tax Number)

Optional Inclusions:
• Arrival Package - transfers, hostel accommodation, internet & continental breakfast
• Hostel Package
• Language Training in Vancouver, Toronto or Whistler

CONSTRUCTION & LABOUR: For those wanting to enter or further their experience in one of Canada’s fastest growing and most lucrative industries. Positions include carpenters, framers, crane operators, tilers, joiners, roofers, warehouse support and general labour and are paid approximately $10 - $25 per hour 35 - 40 hours per week and locations include Vancouver & rural British Columbia. Positions include min. duration, min. English Pay Rate Min. Relevant Experience.

Warehouse Assistants: 6 months, Level 6 $10 - $14 per hour, No experience necessary General Labourers: 6 months Level 6 $10 - $14 per hour No experience necessary
Carpenters Assistant: 9 – 12 months, Level 6, $12 - $15 per hour. Apprenticeship Journeyman / Carpenters, 9 – 12 months, Level 7, $12 - $25 per hour, Journeyman Certificate.
Joiners & Roofers: 9 – 12 months, Level 7, $12 - $25 per hour, Journeyman Certificate
Tilers: 9 – 12 months, Level 7, $12 - $25 per hour , Journeyman Certificate,
Crane Operators: 9 – 12 months, Level 8, $14 - $25 per hour, Crane Operator Certificate, + 2 years experience

Additional Information:
• Start anytime of year
• All participants must participate in the one week safety course prior to starting work
• Cost of travel to the work site in is not included if placed outside of Vancouver and costs range from $40 - $180 and take anywhere from 2 - 10 hours depending on where you will be travelling to.
• For rural positions assistance is given to find local accommodation.
