Program description
If you like the country life, tractors horses, cattle and fresh air, and want to experience the great wide open, then one of our two Farmlife programs are for you! Experience the vast openness of Canadian Marlboro country and either live with a family or work and get a salary, the choice is up to you.
Program Requirements for both Farmlife Programs:
* You should be physically fit and have no allergies
* You should be prepared to live in a small, remote community
* Participants should bring sturdy outdoor clothing.
* Participants should have an intermediate level of English.
Highlights
Ranchstay is for the cowboy/cowgirl at heart looking to spend some time on a ranch or farm away from all the bright lights and big cities. Ranchstay is for people looking to learn something about the community they are placed in and farming in general. Most placements are with small family run farms located 1 - 5 hours from a city; you will pay a weekly fee to stay on the farm. The Program Includes:
* Interview(s) prior to arrival in Canada if required
* Farm profile prior to arrival in Canada
* Assistance with arranging itinerary to the farm depending on your interests, background, time of year, and duration, you will have the choice of placement on:
* Horse Breeding Farm/Ranch , Horse Training Farm (horse-riding experience required)
* Guest Ranch (April to October only)
* Cattle Ranch
* Alpaca Farm
* Vineyards
* Sheep/Grain Farm
* Mixed Farm
